A Norwich orchestra performed a selection of traditional and heart-warming Viennese favourites at its annual New Year's Day concert today.
The Norwich Pops Orchestra brought the flavour of Viennese New Year concerts to the city for the sixth time at a packed St Andrew’s Hall.
Conductor Geoff Davidson said: “This is a smashing way to start the new year off, and for the first time ever, we managed to sell out of programmes this year.
“These concerts are now a permanent fixture for us.”
Among the favourites played during the two-hour set were Wine, Women and Song, On the Beautiful Blue Danube, the Radetsky March, A Guid New Year, Schwanda and Bagpiper and excerpts from Swan Lake.
